Your Wedding Week Hair Plan, Function by Function
The Ramaya Hair TeamShare
Indian weddings aren't one event, they're a week of them, and your hair needs a different plan for each function. Here's how we usually help brides and their families think through it.
Mehendi and sangeet
These are dance-heavy, long days. We recommend clip-in volumizers or a topper over full-length extensions here — you want movement and body without worrying about anything slipping mid-dance.
Haldi
Turmeric stains, and you don't want your good extensions anywhere near it. Either skip extensions entirely for haldi or use an inexpensive set you don't mind getting a little messy.
The wedding day itself
This is where a proper trial matters. Whatever hairstyle your stylist is doing — a low bun, an open curled look, a braid with florals — bring your extensions to the trial run, not just the actual day. We always tell brides to book their hair trial at least 2 weeks out so there's time to size or shade-match again if needed.
Reception
Often a different look from the wedding day, so this is a good moment to switch styles with a ponytail extension or a different topper if you want variety across the week without buying multiple full sets.
We do dedicated bridal consultations at the Vaishali Nagar showroom — book yours here and bring photos of each function's planned outfit so we can match accordingly.
